Activities
Our
adventure activities are rewarding for all ages and ability levels. Our
first priority is safety, closely followed by as much fun as
possible! We use the activities for fun, experiential learning,
personal development and team skills. Activities are debriefed at a
level suitable for the group and with appropriate content, to maximise
the benefits of the experience.
Our own facilitators run all of these recreation and adventure
activities on site. The only activity that involves leaving the
site is the bush walk (which is a loop starting and finishing at
our camp). This means that you can get the most out of your
activities, and not waste time travelling between different sites.
About our Facilitators Our
facilitators are committed to ensuring you get the most out of your
activities whilst remaining safe and having fun. We have both male and
female facilitators with a range of ages and backgrounds to provide
balance for your group. Some examples of facilitators’ qualifications
are: senior first aid, registered nurse, vertical rescue
operator, canoe instructor, archery instructor and abseil instructor.
Please contact us if you would like any more information.

Our Mid Ropes course reaches eight metres in height. Use harnesses
and other equipment to remain safe whilst challenging boundaries and
encouraging others. |

Abseiling
A classic adventure activity. Our 11 metre absiel wall is a very
safe way to experience the thrill of abseiling. For abseiling we have
one on one tuition with an instructor at the top of the wall
controlling a safety rope and giving guidance. |
 |
Possum Pull
A fantastic thrill generated by team effort. Each person takes a
turn at being the “possum”. They are harnessed and attached to one end
of a rope. The rope runs over a pulley 14 metres high then back down to
the rest of the team. This team is also attached to the rope. When they
runs the possum gets a giant swinginto the air. Great fun. |
 |
Jungle Course
an exciting introduction to Maranatha ropes, this low ropes course
is set in a jungle like environment and is ideal for youngsters and
beginners. |
 |
Tower of Tremble
A great team building experience that needs trust and communication
to create a trembling tower of crates. Sound easy? Here's the catch:
you and your partner must work together and climb the tower as you go.
Crates are passed up as you build and you are supported by the rest of
the team using ropes and harnesses. See if you can beat the record. |
 |
Vertical Play Pen
This activity pits two teams against one each other to see who can
navigate a series of vertical obstacles the fastest and most
effectively. You are belayed by a team of "horses" (the rest
of your team) who support you as you climb and then bring you back
to earth after you have reached the top. |
 |
Leap of Faith
Are you lucky? Can you navigate the pole, jump spiritedly in to the
open space and grab the trapeze. This activity is a great confidence
builder and awesome fun for people of all ages. |
 |
Archery
A very ancient spor which remains as challenging today as ever.
Receive instruction from our fully qualified instructors and
improve your stance and technique. Then prepare, aim, fire
and HIT THAT TARGET! |
 |
Dam Hike / Bush Walk
A winding track leads the group through varied terrain following the
course of Wappa Creek. We pass Wappa Falls and end up at the
spectacular Wappa Dam. En route learn something about the bush and hear
some local stories. Learn our famous marching song on the way back so
everybody knows when you have returned to camp! |
 |
Challenge Trail
All you need to do is follow the rope trail through bush
land to a secret location in the campgrounds. The catch is that
the group is blindfolded and must therefore rely on senses other than
sight to get around the course. The team will need excellent
communication skills to stay together and move effectively through the
course. |
 |
Group Initiatives
A huge variety of exercises designed to develop trust, leadership,
team work, problem solving and cooperative play. These activities
help to identify the different strengths and weaknesses that we all
have and how to use them to our advantage. Group initiatives
include spiders web, stepping-stones, magic shoes and many more. |
 |
River Rafting
We provide tyres, rope, wood and lifejackets. You work together to
build your own raft, developing communication skills and encouraging
teamwork as you find ways to paddle across Wappa Creek. |
 |
Pool Sports
Get cool in our sparkling blue pool! A variety of team games,
problem solving excercises and lots of splashing happens in our 25
metre pool. |
|
Orienteering
Find your way to all of the marked points around the camp using your
compass and your feet. Learn the basics of orienteering and compass
reading, then practice your newfound skills to collect the markers. |
 |
Rocket Ball
A game of aim! A metre high slingshot fixed in the ground. A
new addition to our activities, rocket ball allows you to test your
skills by shooting the balls at a target. Just plain old fun! |
 |

These games are designed to encourage teamwork, competitive spirit,
honouring competition, sportsmanship and cooperative play. Primarily
