Conditions & Contract
FIRST AID First aid is the responsibility of the campers. Campers must provide their own first aid equipment and staff.
DAILY DUTIES The campsite is to be maintained in a clean condition by the campers.
ACCOMMODATION Food and beverages are not to
be consumed in dormitories or bedrooms. For the health and safety
of the hire group, the number of campers sleeping per room must not
exceed the number of beds in that room.
DAMAGE AND LOSS All breakages and losses to
the campsite property and equipment are to be reported to the campsite
manager. They will be invoiced to the group. Maranatha
Recreation Camp takes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal
property.
PARKING All vehicles parking is at the owners risk and only in the areas as directed or sign posted.
SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT Smoking is strictly prohibited in all buildings.
ACTIVITY PROGRAMS During activities run by activity staff, group leaders are responsible for the behavior of campers at the activity.
OUT OF BOUND AREAS Sheds and Workshop, Managers residence, electrical switch rooms and ropes course are out of bounds. As signposted & ropes activity areas.
BEHAVIOR Group leaders are asked to remind campers to respect each other, personal property and the environment.
NOISE RESTRICTIONS All Noise must stop by 10 pm (schools only) with lights out at 10.30 pm.
The use of amplified music and loud speakers can only be used with
prior arrangement and permission from camp management, it can not
commence before 9 am and must cease by 10 pm, and be in keeping with
all current state laws and legislation, is always at the discretion of
camp management and can be terminated at any
time.
SWIMMING POOL Group leaders must supervise campers at all times whilst using the pool.
CAMPFIRE Use of campfire needs to be prearranged with management. The following guidelines for use must be strictly adhered to:
- Fire must be finished and completely doused by 9.30pm
- Use of fire will be not be permitted if there is a high fire danger or fire ban.
- Use of the campfire can be cancelled at the discression of management, if guidelines are not adhered to.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
Fire
Extinguishers and smoke alarms are
installed throughout the campsite. These should not be tampered
with or removed. Evacuation plans are displayed throughout the
camp.
Emergency numbers
Emergency numbers are displayed in supervisors rooms, kitchen, at dorms and office.
CLEANING Maranatha Recreation Camp is to be left clean, tidy and free of rubbish, as per “End of Camp Clean Up” in Camper’s Duties
